It converts a compatible Sentinel XL system, such as the Sentinel XL HP Base Kit (S-3000-12) or a Sentinel XL CBRN system, to a head cover HP configuration for infectious-disease protection.
The head cover has an assigned protection factor (APF) of 25, or 2.5 times the protection of an N95, and requires no fit testing. A single size eliminates the need to buy and stock multiple sizes, and the cushioned head strap supports a wide range of wearers.
The head cover provides a wide field of view and easily accommodates stethoscopes. Its impact-resistant, optical-grade polycarbonate visor includes a chin panel designed to reduce visor glare, and a threaded connection secures the breathing tube. The head cover is latex-free.
For APF 1,000 protection, the Sentinel XL HP Clear Hood (S-3000-19) and HP BioShield Full Hood (S-3000-24) conversion kits are also available.
