Depending on your delivery address, taxes may vary at checkout.The Sentinel XL® CBRN Deluxe System with Alkaline Battery is a complete, NIOSH-approved loose-fitting powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) for emergency preparedness decon teams, including hospital decon and first receiver teams. The system is NIOSH approved at a CAP 2 rating and has a 10,000 LRPL. It is designed to protect against military warfare agents, biological threats, industrial chemical threats and nuclear particulate threats.
Unlike the Standard System, which ships with a duffel bag, the Deluxe configuration includes the NIOSH-approved Sentinel Backpack. It supports the blower and cartridges for hands-free deployment and stores the system components between uses. The lay-flat butyl hood, which requires no fit testing, is designed to stow easily in the backpack.
The alkaline battery pack holds standard D-cell batteries, which increases readiness: there is nothing to charge, and the pack is rated for a nominal 10 hours per set of five batteries. The battery pack snaps directly onto the blower, a design that reduces snagging potential and aids decontamination.
The Sentinel XL blower platform supports both decon and infectious-disease applications. With a Sentinel XL HP conversion kit, which provides a head cover, clear hood or BioShield full hood with HEPA cartridges, the same blower can be used for infectious-disease protection, reducing costs and simplifying equipment inventory.
