The Sentinel XL Clear Hood has an assigned protection factor (APF) of 1,000, or 100 times the protection of an N95, and does not require fit testing when used in an approved system configuration. The clear hood design provides a 320-degree field of view for increased safety. The hood has no internal suspension system for increased comfort and accommodates most head, hearing and eye protection. All Sentinel XL hoods and head covers are latex-free.
The Clear Hood connects to the Sentinel XL blower with the S-4005 Breathing Tube and is used with S-4002 HEPA cartridges for infectious-disease protection or S-4012 OV/AG/HE cartridges for hazardous-drug protection. The Sentinel XL HP Clear Hood Conversion Kit (S-3000-19) includes a Clear Hood, breathing tube and HEPA cartridges.
ILC Dover recommends inspecting your system after each use. Replace any hood with tears or punctures, or with visor scratches or distortions that make it difficult to see through.
